Instructor Erin O’Neill will guide you through a thoughtful sequence of postures that are linked with your breathing and designed to build strength, balance, flexibility, and body awareness. A focus on proper body alignment and breathing techniques will enhance the beneficial effects of each pose, and leave you feeling fit, toned, and refreshed.
Erin first experienced yoga as a teenager when she practiced it as a complement to her blended martial arts training in Kenpo karate and Tae Kwon Do. As she deepened her study of yoga throughout adulthood, Erin realized that she wanted to share its benefits with others and attained several teaching certifications. She has completed 3 Teacher Trainings with YogaFit, and recently completed a 200hr Yoga Teachers Training Program through The Lotus Yoga Centre.
Erin is a Registered Yoga Teacher through the Yoga Alliance and currently teaches a variety of yoga classes at the Barrington Park District as well as at CORE Martial Arts and Fitness. A lifelong student, Erin obtained her Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences in 2007 from the University of Chicago, providing her with a comprehensive physiology background that supports her alignment-driven classes. Erin is passionate about bringing the joy of yoga to people of all ages and experience levels.
